AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of the project are:

1.         To provide basic literacy skills for the females rural populace of Rivers State and thereby help then integrate better into modern society;

2.         To empower the female rural populace economically and socially by teaching them functional literacy skills; 

3.         To alleviate the poverty level of rural families in Rivers State by empowering their women educationally;

4.         To ensure the qualitative education of the children of rural families by educating their women who will thus be in a better position to appreciate education and impart same to their children;

5.         To curb he incidence of teenage pregnancies among the teenage children of rural families through having educated mothers who can impress the importance of education upon their children;

6.         To provide a forum for government to better educate the rural populace about its programmes and policies concerning the citizens o the state;

7.         To enhance the socio-political status of the female rural populace  so they can be better equipped to play an active role in the present political dispensation and have an informed stake in their political future.
